It is made of high grade bauxite or corundum sand, magnesia and scaly stone as the main raw materials. Its characteristics are that at high temperatures, in addition to the advantages of high corrosion resistance and not easy to peel due to the carbon content, it also has the advantage of showing a high residual linear expansion rate due to the heat generation of spinel when used, so it has become a new development of high-quality lining bricks.
Properties of aluminum-magnesia-carbon brick
The properties of aluminum-magnesium-carbon brick (examples) are shown in the table.
Aluminum magnesia carbon brick manufacturing process
With special grade high bauxite as raw material, because it contains a certain proportion of 1}: and other impurities, and the structure is not dense, the corrosion resistance of the slag is poor, in order to improve its slag resistance, the electric cauterization or corundum can be used to replace part of the special grade high aluminum rocky earth. In order to improve the oxidation resistance and high strength of the product, the method of adding less basin metal powder is used, but the heat disturbance activity is reduced, and the content of flake graphite is increased. The process flow is shown in the figure. Carbon-free brick
Aluminum magnesia carbon brick use
Aluminum-magnesium-carbon brick has the advantages of anti-erosion, anti-spalling, balanced erosion, safe use, less steel slag, easy to dispack and so on. Mainly used for the use of conditions of heavy steel stabbed lining. In Japan, more and more aluminum carbon bricks are used as linings in molten pool and bottom of continuous casting large intermediate and Shanghai refining ladle. In 1990, magnesia carbon bricks were used in the slag line of 300t steel barrels and continuous casting intermediate tanks in China, with a service life of 50 to 85 times.
