When it comes to magnesium-carbon bricks, we all know, but how much do you know about magnesium-carbon bricks? Why did it become a steel mill? And why export at home and abroad? Underpinning the economic lifeblood of the entire northeast? Today, let's take a look at how magnesium-carbon bricks are formed and what are their advantages?

With high temperature resistance, strong slag resistance, good thermal shock resistance and low creep at high temperature, magnesia carbon brick is widely used in the lining of converter, AC arc furnace and DC arc furnace, slag line of ladle and other parts. Magnesia-carbon brick is made of high melting point basic oxide magnesium oxide (melting point 2800℃) and high melting point carbon material which is difficult to be penetrated by slag as raw materials, and various non-oxide additives are added. A non-carboniferous composite refractory combined with a carbonaceous binder. It effectively uses the strong slag corrosion of magnesium, effectively improves the thermal conductivity and low expansion of carbon, and makes up for the greater shortcomings of magnesium's poor spalling resistance.
