The selection conditions of ladle refractory materials are:
The working conditions of ladle, such as steel temperature, residence time of molten steel, casting type, whether refining treatment is carried out; The position of ladle refractory in ladle; Basicity of slag; Working conditions and economic age of ladle building, ladle dismantling and ladle baking in steel mills; Economics and so on.
Commonly used ladle refractory materials are the following types:
1, high aluminum brick
The Al2O3 content in the brick is between 50 and 80%, mainly used for the working layer of ladle.
2, aluminum magnesium castable
The castable is mainly used for ladle, which is characterized by the reaction of MgO and Al2O3 in the castable to produce aluminum-magnesium spinel under the action of molten steel, which improves the slag resistance and thermal shock resistance of the lining.
3. Clay bricks
The Al2O3 content in clay bricks is generally between 30 and 50%, and the price is low. It is mainly used for ladle layer and ladle bottom.
4. Don't burn bricks
At present, almost all the materials used for firing bricks in ladle can be made into corresponding unfired bricks. It is characterized by relatively simple production process and low price. Brick itself has a certain mechanical strength and erosion resistance, but also easy to construction masonry.
If the ladle itself is also used for refining, you can also choose MGO-Cr2O3-al2o3 series and MGO-CAO-C series refractory materials, mainly: magnesia-chromium brick, magnesia-chromium aluminum brick, dolomite brick and so on.
5, wax stone brick
The brick is characterized by a high content of Si02, generally more than 80%, better erosion resistance and integrity than clay bricks, and no hanging slag. It is often used for the wall and bottom of ladle.
6. Magnesia-carbon brick
The brick is mainly used in ladle slag line, especially for multi-furnace continuous pouring. The MgO content in bricks is generally about 76%, and the C content is between 15 and 20%. It is characterized by little erosion to slag, good erosion resistance and spalling resistance.
7. Zircon brick
The brick is mainly used in the slag line of ladle. The ZrO2 content in bricks is generally between 60 and 65%. It is characterized by good erosion resistance, but the price is high, and it is generally not used often.
8, aluminum magnesium carbon brick
The brick is a kind of brick developed on the basis of aluminum magnesium castable, which is used for ladle lining and has long service life.
In addition, it should be noted that when pouring boiling steel, it should be avoided to choose bricks and castables containing graphite, otherwise the service life of the lining is low.
When using graphite brick as ladle lining, it is better to apply a layer of anti-oxidation coating on its surface to prevent the oxidation of the lining surface during baking, which will affect its service life.
The above is today's sharing content, each part needs to use different resistant materials, be sure to consider good use oh.
